160MPa Ultra High Pressure Gas Booster Station

Recently, a 160MPa ultra-high pressure gas booster station was delivered to our oversea customer. To increase the pressure of low-pressure gas to a high pressure above 1000 Bar, it is difficult for ordinary gas booster pumps to output such high pressure. In order to help the oversea customer to obtain ultra high pressure gas, Senwell customized the 160MPa gas pressure booster station. It is an effective ultra high pressure gas compression booster system, which can pressurize gas from 5 Bar up to 1600 Bar.

Gas Pressure Booster Station Operating Principle

There are two gas booster pumps connected in series inside the gas pressure booster station, and they boost gas twice in a relay manner, thus obtaining ultra-high pressure gas. First of all, the first gas booster pump will suction the low-pressure gas above 5 Bar and complete gas compression, that is, pre-pressurize gas. At this time, the gas pressure will be raised for the first time. And then the pressurized gas will be temporarily stored in the gas buffer tank. Subsequently, the second gas booster pump will suction the gas in the gas buffer tank and complete the second gas compression, that is, gas re-pressurize gas. At this moment, the gas booster station can output ultra-high pressure gas of up to 1600 Bar through twice gas compressions and pressurizations.

This gas booster unit is specially customized to meet the needs of low initial gas pressure but wanting to obtain ultra-high pressure, so the low-pressure gas needs to be compressed and pressurized twice.
