The grooved fittings are key components in connecting liquid pipelines and gas pipelines. Generally speaking, the pipe with diameter above 100mm in fire sprinkler system, and the pipe with diameter exceeding 50 mm in fire water supply system, must be connected in sections using flanged pipe fittings or grooved pipe fittings. The grooved pipe fitting achieves tight connection of pipes through the combination of the rubber gasket, clamps and locking bolts.
Grooved Pipe Fitting Testing System
In order to facilitate users to test grooved pipe fittings, we have developed this grooved fitting testing machine. It uses water as the testing medium and can perform pressure test and fatigue tests on various grooved fittings, thereby verifying the grooved fitting’s tightness and durability.
The grooved pipe fitting testing system consists of a hydraulic console and a test chamber. In addition, we will customize a test fixture based on the size of the user’s grooved pipe fitting to simulate the connection of two pipe sections. Before testing, install the grooved fitting on the test fixture tightly, and place into the test chamber, then connect it to the hydraulic console thought a hose. The user just need to set test parameters on the equipped computer, and the machine will automatically pressurize the test fixture to simulate a high pressure working environment for the grooved fitting, thereby automatically determining whether the grooved fitting’s sealing and durability meet design requirements.
