How Does a Hydrogen Booster Pump Safely Compress Hydrogen?

The hydrogen booster pump, as known as hydrogen compressor pump, is an air operated hydrogen pressure booster. It can safely convert low-pressure hydrogen gas into high-pressure hydrogen gas of 80MPa maximum through compression, thereby meeting the needs of hydrogen transportation, storage and hydrogen fueling. Therefore, the hydrogen compression pump plays an important role in the field of hydrogen energy.

The working steps of hydrogen booster include three steps: suction hydrogen, compress hydrogen and then output high-pressure hydrogen gas. Specifically, the hydrogen booster pump can suction low-pressure hydrogen from hydrogen storage tanks or electrolysis hydrogen production equipment. And then the low-pressure hydrogen will be continuously compressed in the pump to increase the pressure. When reaching the required pressure, the hydrogen compression pump will discharge the high-pressure hydrogen gas.

How Does the Hydrogen Booster Pump Safely Pressurize Hydrogen?

1.The hydrogen booster pump takes compressed air as power force, thus explosion proof. It does not require electricity, thus avoiding the generation of electric sparks and eliminating the risk of high-pressure hydrogen being ignited by electric sparks.
2.Hydrogen only runs in the high-pressure cylinder of the hydrogen booster pump. And the high-pressure cylinder and the drive cylinder are isolated from each other. Thereby, it avoids hydrogen leakage or compressed air contamination of hydrogen.
3.The hydrogen compression pump adopts oil-free compression, avoiding the risk of hydrogen being contaminated by lubricating oil and ensuring the purity of hydrogen.
4.The hydrogen booster comes with the self-cooling system, which reduces the heat generated during hydrogen compression.
