How to Use Nitrogen Gas Booster to Amplify Nitrogen Pressure

Nitrogen is a widely used gas with low acquisition cost. In addition to purchasing bottled compressed nitrogen from the market, you can also obtain nitrogen in large scale through a nitrogen generator. However, the compressed nitrogen pressure output by the nitrogen generator is generally below 10 bar, which cannot meet some applications that require higher pressure nitrogen gas. The nitrogen gas booster can help you amplify the pressure of nitrogen generators.

Nitrogen Gas Booster Operating Principle

The nitrogen booster can amplify the pressure of the nitrogen generator to maximal 800 Bar by self-boosting. N2 booster does not require electricity, just need to connect the nitrogen booster pump at the outlet of the nitrogen generator, it will continue to compress nitrogen and then output high-pressure nitrogen gas. That is to say, the low-pressure compressed nitrogen entering the nitrogen booster pump is divided into two parts. One part of the low-pressure nitrogen is used to drive the nitrogen booster pump, and the remaining low-pressure nitrogen will be compressed into high-pressure nitrogen by the nitrogen pump and then discharged for your use. This is the self-pressurization of the nitrogen gas booster.

How to Operate Nitrogen Gas Booster

The nitrogen booster discharge pressure is always proportional to the pressure of the low-pressure compressed nitrogen that drives it. Therefore, you only need to add a pressure regulator between the nitrogen generator and the nitrogen booster pump, and install a pressure gauge at the outlet of the nitrogen pump, a basic nitrogen booster system is ready. By rotating the pressure regulator and observing the pressure gauge, you can easily set and adjust the nitrogen booster discharge pressure.
