Water Jacket Gas Cylinder Hydrostatic Test System Operating Principle

The water jacket gas cylinder test system is a more advanced gas cylinder external measurement test method. Compared with the direct expansion method, the water jacket testing method eliminates the interference of environmental factors during hydro test, thus more accurate in test results.
Specifically, there are two water jackets equipped with the gas cylinder hydrostatic test machine, one of which is specially for oxygen cylinder testing. Firstly of all, fill clean water into the gas cylinder to be tested. And then place the gas cylinder into the water jacket where is full of ordinary water. Next, inject high-pressure water at the required pressure into the gas cylinder. And then maintain the pressure. During the pressure maintenance period, the gas cylinder will expand and then squeeze some ordinary water in the water jacket into a measuring cup. And the gas cylinder will restore partially after pressure unloading, so a part of water in the measuring cup will return to the water jacket. So the remaining water in the measuring cup is the volumetric deformation of the gas cylinder. The machine will automatically record measurement data and calculate the gas cylinder volumetric deformation rate , thereby determining whether the cylinder is qualified or not. Generally speaking, if the volumetric deformation rate of a gas cylinder exceeds 10%, it cannot be used any longer and must be scrapped.
