Leak tightness test machine, also known as leak detection machine or airtight test machine, is a versatile pneumatic pressure test equipment. It can not only perform gas tightness test on sealed components, but also suit for gas pressure resistance test and gas burst test. This helps you evaluate the tightness and mechanical integrity of sealed components or pressure vessels.
Leakage test or air tightness test, usually uses air, nitrogen or helium as test medium. The tightness leak test machine can pressurize the test gas to your required pressure. And then inject the gas into the sealed component to simulate a high-pressure environment, thus verifying whether the sealed component leaks by bubbling method or pressure drop method.
We provide manual and automatic gas tightness test machines for you to choose from. The manual leak tightness test machine has the function of automatic pressure maintenance. In other words, it will automatically maintain the pressure when reaching your preset test pressure. However, you need to manually time and manually unload pressure during pneumatic test. If you prefer fully automatic operation and higher test accuracy, you could choose our PLC automated tightness leak test machine.

The general operation steps of air tightness test or leak detection are as follows. First of all, set a test pressure. Then the gas tightness test machine will boost gas to your preset pressure and inject it into the testing object. Finally maintain the pressure automatically. The tightness can be determined by the bubbling method, pressure drop method or pressure differential method. The bubbling method leak test is to immerse the testing object in water. And if there is no bubble in the water, it proves the tightness test qualified, otherwise unqualified. The pressure drop method leak detection is to check the pressure-drop through observing pressure gauges during testing. And if the pressure-drop is within the allowable range, it proves that the tightness test qualified. Otherwise, it is unqualified.

For the manual gas tightness test machine, you need to set a test pressure by adjusting the air-regulator. The machine has automatic pressure maintenance function, but you need to control the pressure maintenance duration through manual timing. In addition, you need to manually determine the test results.

If you are using the automatic air tightness tester, you only need to test the test pressure, pressure maintenance duration and allowable pressure-drop on the touch screen. Then the machine will automatically execute the pneumatic test process and automatically determine and display the test results.
