The portable PSV tester weighs only 64Kg, and uses compressed nitrogen as the test medium, which comes from a nitrogen cylinder. It is suitable for safety valve pop test, reseating test and sealing test. And it is compatible with both thread type safety valves and flange safety valves ranging from DN15 to DN200. Its lightweight and compact design makes it easy for you to carry it to the field for safety valves testing. You just need to remove your safety valve from the pipeline or equipment, then you can use the portable safety valve tester to complete PSV testing and calibration on field immediately.

The portable safety valve tester consists of two parts: Hydraulic clamp kit and Nitrogen decompression kit. With the help of hydraulic pump, dual grippers, threaded PSV adapters and flanged PSV sealing disks, you can easily clamp and seal your safety valve firmly. By adjusting the pressure reducing valve and observing the pressure gauges, you can perform PSV pop-up test, PSV reseating test and PSV sealing test in succession. Moreover, the portable safety valve tester is equipped with dual precision gauges with accuracy rating of 0.4%FS. Both gauges will display current pressure value simultaneously, thereby avoiding test deviations caused by single pressure gauge.

The portable PSV tester uses a 15MPa or 20MPa nitrogen cylinder as the test medium source. First, place your safety valve on a sealing disk or a thread adapter, then adjust two grippers to right position to clamp your safety valve. Now shake the handle of the hydraulic pump, which will generate hydrulic power to rise the hydraulic cylinder gradually unit your safety valve is clamped firmly. Slowly adjust the pressure reducing valve and observe the precision gauges. When you hear a “bang” sound, or the precision gauge’s pointer suddenly drops slightly, it indicates that the safety valve has popped. At this moment, the precision gauge reading is the safety valve’s popping pressure.
